DACUM — Developing A CurriculUM — is a proven occupational analysis methodology used worldwide to identify the duties, tasks, knowledge, and skills required for success in a specific occupation. Developed through structured expert panel sessions, DACUM results serve as the foundation for designing rigorous, industry-validated, performance-based curricula. WIDS has been a leader in DACUM facilitation and training for over three decades, supporting technical colleges, government agencies, and industry partners across the United States and internationally.
This intensive 5-day certification workshop equips instructional designers, curriculum developers, and education professionals with the complete skillset needed to plan, facilitate, and implement DACUM studies. Participants engage in hands-on activities, guided practice, and peer collaboration throughout the training.
Participants who successfully meet performance criteria will receive the WIDS DACUM Facilitator Certificate, demonstrating their readiness to plan, facilitate, and apply DACUM occupational analysis in professional settings.
Certification is based on demonstrated performance assessed using the WIDS DACUM Certification Rubric, completed on Day 5 of the workshop. Participants will have opportunities throughout the week to practice each competency and receive expert feedback before the final assessment.
